I have one question to help me reproduce the issue: Was it a recording of the bypass, or was it transcoded to HEVC before recording? First, I will analyze the cause of the issue where the recorded file doesn't play in QuickTime. As you already know, when you start live recording, the audio starts right away, but the video doesn’t start until the first keyframe is created. That makes it hard to sync the audio and video perfectly from the start. so, there might be a black video at the beginning. Of course, there are ways to drop the audio or force a keyframe to sync, but since there’s no time right now, I’ll add it to the update plan. |

Hello friends,
I notice that even though HEVC is not officially supported for recording, it almost works!
Here is a sample file recorded through OME. While it does not play back normally in QuickTime, I can get audio playback and eventually, some video in VLC (although the first couple of keyframe intervals show as black). Do you think it would be possible to improve this?
