Enhanced album cover setting and image permissions turns flac files into chipmunck music :'D

Enabling the enhanced album cover loading and enabling system app permissions to images makes the app play flac files deveral times faster than intended. It's hilarious. I managed to fix it deleting all cache and data files, but now it won't load external album cover images.

Edit; this happens after a restart or a data wipe.

Observed in Samsung Galaxy AOS5
Model sm-a057m
Android 14
App version 1.0.1564ab51

(Also, if the bug is fixed, what is the most optimal Image setting for albums?)

Are you sure you didn't enable "skip silence" which skips silence in the middle of the song, causing it to sound weird and play faster?

It is disabled! It only happens when it is given permission to read image files, and enhanced album cover.
I had never listened to chipmunck heavy metal in my life. XD

Can you please make a screen record showing

  1. working playback
  2. you changing the setting
  3. chipmunk playback
for me to diagnose the issue?

Unfortunately I can't do that, because it happens after a restart, or a data wipe. :(
(I found out more details!)

@lowermouse Restart of the phone? A force stop should be sufficient to apply the setting but can be recorded
