What happened?

Unable to craft the awakened alloy block required for the ATM star. I checked the changelog and it doesn't have anything about fixing such a thing. If this is user error, it would be amazing to have a section in the quest book describing, in better detail, how to go about actually using the altar. I followed the guide exactly as it said, all the blocks are in place, and I have energy (plenty w/ fusion reactor), inputs, and outputs.
