Duplicate tags 5.2.0 and v5.2.0 #541

While investigating #539 and #540, I noticed that the repository contains two similar tags:

  • 5.2.0
  • v5.2.0

These tags point to different commits, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

The tag 5.2.0 is the only one without the v prefix, which is inconsistent with the repository's naming convention. This may cause confusion.

Suggested path forward:

  • If 5.2.0 is redundant and not intentionally created, it could be deleted to maintain consistency.
  • However, deleting a tag may not be advisable if it is already referenced in external projects.

This issue can remain open as a reference for developers asking similar concerns. Alternatively, if there is consensus, 5.2.0 may be removed.
