On the Redmi 13, the "Enable full-screen notifications" permission keeps deactivating. I'm not sure if it's related, but sometimes my alarm doesn't ring, and I almost lost my job :)

Thanks!

This is totally related. As I don't have a device with HyperOS I can't make sure everything is working properly.

To solve your problem it seems I have to apply the modification made by @diegobr89 here.

Hey guys! Yes, as @BlackyHawky mentioned, this is a bug related to Xiaomi devices. I’m not sure if the same issue occurs with HyperOS, as I’m experiencing it on MIUI 12. Essentially, Xiaomi blocks the "show on lockscreen" permission by default and it can't be requested programmatically. Therefore, you need to manually go to the app settings and enable it. My changes are far from being a "stable fix," but they’re a good starting point.

@Raiedecharles
Can you please update your first post to match the template?

What version of Android are you using? What is the version of the app? Are you using a custom ROM?

When you say "Enable full-screen notifications" permission keeps deactivating" does that mean that nothing happens when you click on the "ENABLE FULL SCREEN NOTIFICATIONS" card? Normally, your device's system settings should open to enable this permission.

@diegobr89
Thank you for your change; I will keep it carefully aside.

I experience the same issue, and here are the details I have noticed so far (note I have not yet tried diegobr89's solution yet):
I use Android 14 MIUI HyperOS 1 and I have noticed the issue on F-Droid-build Clock 2.10 and 2.10.1. I am not using a custom ROM.
I am able to click "Enable full-screen notifications" (in android settings through the app) and it appears to function once. However, it appears that roughly every day, the full-screen notifications permission becomes disabled (without any user interaction) and the Clock app notifies me with the builtin red exclamation point that permissions are missing. I am able to keep re-enabling the permission. I checked, and rebooting the device alone does not disable the permission.

Thank you for the details you gave me; I will soon provide you with a version to test that will include the modifications of @diegobr89.

As I indicated in another post, without this type of device model in my possession I cannot provide a fix myself because these are unfortunately manufacturer-specific cases.

As a reminder: my tests are only carried out on 3 devices of different brands and versions of Android (Redmi Note 5 - Android 9 / Huawei Mate 40 Pro - Android 12 / Samsung Tab A8 - Android 14).
