It was mentioned on Twitter that Yamagi Quake 2 supports TGA external textures. Replacing PNGs with TGAs should make it possible to use this texture pack in Yamagi Quake 2 (in theory at least).

Supported source ports

  • Q2PRO
  • Yamagi Quake 2 (rename the extension from .pkz to .zip if it doesn't work)
  • KMQuake2
    • Needs to be tested. Help is welcome 🙂

It turns out Yamagi Quake 2 can load the pack as-is (with PNG textures). All you need to do is rename the pack's extension from .pkz to .zip.

Note: Yamagi Quake 2 has .pkz support since version 7.43 from last February (a few days after this bug was opened and you sent a patch)
