Lims Issue

For definitions of headings below see Basic Concepts.

Work Flow: All that are counted with in the ACC
Protocol: All that are counted with in the ACC
Step: All that are counted with in the ACC

Description:

Today there is no automated tracking of how many samples that have been processed in certain lab steps. We add a manual number in the weekly planning production schedule in the samples processed table for each lab application, but this can easily be forgotten and relies on everyone remembering to fill it out when done. Then that number is used for the application cost calculator.

It would be helpful to have a "number of samples processed" counter (UDF) in each step, that can take "only re-limsed samples" into consideration as well (they need to be counted out since they have not actually been re-prepped). This might need a new script+automation.

Suggestion of specifics needed from LIMS:

  • Number of samples processed in relevant steps
  • Checkbox (TRUE/FALSE) if the samples in a step are only being LIMSed and not actually prepared in the lab

Can the number from each step be used outside LIMS? Can we push it to Arnold and use it in the excel sheet automatically?
