Feature Request

Right now, the way to pick a month & year for Planet Monthly Visual Basemaps is using a date picker in a calendar format:

It would be even better to provide the user with an easy way to toggle between different months.

Inspo

explorer.land have a horizontal slider for Planet (and other) imagery:

Better yet, Global Forest Watch have a nice slider with 4 ticks that you can scroll through using navigation arrows on each side, as well as a date dropdown (which are synchronized):
