Context

Instructions:

  • Place Netherite Backtank (maybe even the copper one)
  • Crtl + Middle Mouse Button on it
  • Game freezes before crashing with a stackoverflow

About the corruption

Just did the same twice to confirm and next time the chunk was regenerated aka corrupted.

Try reproducing this with only create

I've reproduced this in dev and found a fix. Will PR in a bit when I've also sanitized it so the additional nbt doesn't keep getting nested.
