Community search doesn't return results for partial query matches, as opposed to collection search #3794

Describe the bug

In the current DSpace 8 demo site, there is a top level community Archaeological Sciences.
In dialogs that offer community search, for example, the dialog to create a new collection, you would expect this community to show up as soon as you type "arch", but it doesn't:

Only when you type the first word of the community title in full, the result appears:

Interestingly enough, collection search does NOT suffer from this, e.g. partial matching DOES work for collection search. Which makes it all more counter-intuitive that it doesn't work for community search

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open a dialog that offers the search for communities (for example New > Collection)
  2. Enter a search string that gives you a PARTIAL match on the first word of an actual community title

Expected behavior

Results should be returned for partial matches, just like collection search works

Related work

I'm also able to reproduce this on DSpace 7.6, so likely already an old issue and not something new.

I believe this is the same bug already described in DSpace/DSpace#8251. It's been open for some time, but has a possible/partial fix in DSpace/DSpace#10109

Flagging this as a duplicate as I believe it's the same bug.
