Chris, I just finished something similar to this for California and would like to go through the process again. Are you active on this, or would you mind me taking a stab?

Go for it. Just take a look at the dataset on data.world to see what we already have. They release data quarterly and I was trying to get them all. You can start with just the election years if you would like.
