I downloaded it a while ago now, pretty sure it was this tutorial but i may be wrong...

solidworks has been working flawless since I downloaded. I last used it Jan 24th with no issues and then didnt try opening it again until my computer had updated yesterday.

The error -15,10,10061 means that SolidWorks cannot connect to the license server. This usually happens due to:

  1. Windows Update Resetting Network Settings

    • Check if your firewall or antivirus is blocking SolidWorks or FlexNet licensing services.
    • Try disabling your firewall temporarily and see if SolidWorks launches.
  2. SolidWorks License Service Not Running

    • Open Services.msc and ensure SolidNetWork License Manager is running.
  3. Port Blocked (10061 = Connection Refused)

    • Check if port 25734 and 25735 (default SolidWorks license ports) are blocked.
    • Run telnet localhost 25734 in CMD to test connectivity.
  4. Crack Issue (If Using One)

    • If using a crack, Windows updates could have broken it.
      • Check if the patched files in C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks were overwritten.
  5. Reinstall FlexNet Licensing Service

Let me know which one of these applies to your case, and we can dig deeper.

it doesn't look like solidnetwork license manager is running and somehow i dont have a flexnet licensing server anymore
