Affected app version

1.1.0

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 14

Affected device model

All

How did you install the app?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Go to any contact with some merged contacts from other areas books
  2. Click on thec default edit button at the top
  3. Add DOB (for example)
  4. Save contact
  5. The DOB does not display because the edit changes the details of the last addressbook which in my case is mostly WhatsApp. It does not update my primary addressbook, which is in Nextcloud

Expected behavior

I would expect added details to be added to my primary addressbook and never to WhatsApp which I'd only expect name and number to be stored and this to be a read only addressbook which follows the primary

Actual behavior

WhatsApp entry is updated but does not reflect in other places, even in the contact display page.

Screenshots/Screen recordings

No response

Additional information

This can be mitigated by clicking on the name of the primary addressbook.

While there is a feature request to add a default addressbook. This I consider different as it allows editing of what should be read only addressbooks like WhatsApp and it is not immediately obvious that it is the wrong contact entry which is being updated
