Not working when Installed to Firefox 69.0 #3
Comments
I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions, other than this: a whole new Firefox installation, followed by the CSS installation? |
Thanks for your quick reply Frank.
Yes, I suppose I could back up my profile and do that. I’ll give it a go.
Many thanks,
Ian

I had the same problem, and apparently starting in FireFox 69.0 userChrome.css and userContent.css are disabled by default: https://www.ghacks.net/2019/05/24/firefox-69-userchrome-css-and-usercontent-css-disabled-by-default/ They can be re-enabled by going to about:config and setting the 'toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets' preference to true. The link above has instructions on how to do this. After enabling this setting, everything is working for me. Best, -ranga |
Thank you very much, Ranga! I didn't know that, but shall add that to the code. |
Thanks Ranga and Frank. I look forward to the change. |
Hey Ian, I should have written: "I shall add that to the instructions." Which I already did. See under 'Preparations before installation', item 3. The .css file stays the same. |
Gday Frank, I followed your instructions to the letter, setting 'toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets' preference to true, and copying the .css file again, but the tabs are still square and have a thick black line along the top in the Silky Blue theme. |
That's odd. I'm afraid I don't know how what the cause of that is. Hopefully someone else will, at some point. |
Hello,
I have been using this successfully on another computer where I installed it for Firefox V65 I think. I have upgraded it to V69 and it still works ok there.
However on this desktop pc that I have just upgraded Firefox from V29 to Quantum V69 and it doesn't it after restarting.
I have double-checked the profile folder location and the .css file is definitely in it.
Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Ian
