While working on #9, I had to turn off my format-on-save functionality to keep from introducing unrelated changes. There are several lines with trailing whitespace that don't appear to be semantically meaningful or used to simulate line breaks.

For easier contribution/collaboration in the future, I recommend a maintenance PR to trim the trailing whitespace from all Markdown files.
