Scipion Logo

Scipion is an image processing framework for obtaining 3D models of macromolecular complexes using Electron Microscopy (3DEM). It integrates several software packages and presents a unified interface for both biologists and developers. Scipion allows you to execute workflows combining different software tools, while taking care of formats and conversions. Additionally, all steps are tracked and can be reproduced later on. General Information

Documentation

  • Users Page: introductory resources that assume a basic knowledge of electron microscopy. Current tutorials include: (1) Introduction to SPA in Scipion using BPV data, (2) Initial volume estimation with several methods: RCT, Ransac, Eman

  • Developers Page: Has information about software tools provided by the Scipion framework. This section can be useful even for a non-programmer experimentalist.

Web Tools

  • Scipion Web Tools refers to a subset of workflows implemented in Scipion and accessed through a webpage. These tools provide a good way to try the different processing workflows without any local installation.
