Adding an associated DOI to the repository involves supplying a DOI and then a description. But the DOI comes with metadata already, from either CrossRef or DataCite. Could the description field be auto-populated from this metadata?

This is already done when an ORCID is supplied. It would render the description field for associated DOIs more consistent with existing metadata.
