If you change your mind and select a different dataset in the single-gene curator, the gene autocomplete widget will be duplicated. Once for the previous dataset and again for the current dataset. It seems like the one of the previous dataset is not removed, and tends to be higher in the z-score than the newer one. Used Nakagawa dataset (all-caps genes) and something like Groves (titlecase genes) to showcase this (type in Sox2, and you will see the underlying widget).
