Hi,

I would like to know you you have any code available to exploit the wand.
The idea is to use the wand as main interface to interact with different object controlled by a Raspberry like light or motors for exemple.

Did you have any code available or did you plan to give some access ?

Best regards,
Florian Meyer

Hello, @meyerf93 !

I'm really happy to hear your ideas and wow! That would be tremendous! I hope I can help you toward achieving that.

Unfortunately we don't have anything on the community-sdk for the Wand. But that is a matter of time.

I'm aware that @wizofe has done some awesome work to create an open source api to communicate with the wand here: https://github.com/wizofe/bluewand-python

I also know for sure the engineering team is willing to publish an official SDK soon but I don't know further details. I'll ping @malminhas here as he can give you more feedback about that.

I was gonna share it but you already did, thank you! Just in case anyone finds their way here, my above tools are for Python 3 and because of ble limitations in python, it only works on Linux.

@GammaGames Does that mean there‘s no node sdk coming?

@sandrooco I'm sure it'll be released officially at some point, but they don't have a release date yet. There is a little discussion here: GammaGames/kano_wand/issues/2

I would also love to see an official SDK! I’m sure you folks have a big untapped market of people who would want to use the wand for IoT purposes :)

Is there any update on progress toward that?

I really hope this SDK comes out someday. I keep checking back--when it does, I'll buy at least one of the wands.

Just picked up one of these kits in the hopes that I could find out how to use it to control a windows pc. Has there been any more work/word on that sdk? A programmable wand air mouse has been a bit of dream of mine for a while now and this feels too close. I found the node modules linked above but can't figure out how to make use of that pointer folder. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
