changing the unit Tg/yr to Tg C yr^-1 which is the more common way to display these units. If it is not possible to display the -1 exponent, you can just add the "C" and let the slash bar.
adding also the fluxes in mol of carbon per square meter per year as mol C m^-2 yr^-1, for each region.
I have some trouble to navigate on the map : I did not found how to zoom out after the zoom in when clicking on a region of the map. Scrolling (intuitive way to zoom) is disappearing the map.
Those bugs appears with OSX Yosemite and Chrome version 50 or Firefox version 46.0 with Java Version 8 Update 91.
I pointed out some extra stuff. It could be great to:
display little charts or flux numbers (in both units) for each region on the maps when clicking or hover the region with the mouse.
zoom in more slowly or/and with less zoom on the region. I can be difficult for the user to know where he is. The following point can also help.
adding colors to the maps, for instance dark blue for open ocean, light blue for shelves and maybe light brown or green for land. Orange for the selected region is perfect for me 👍
zoom in the corresponding region when clicking on the corresponding bar chart on the left.
