Describe the bug

subtle press with slight upwards direction can result and empty screen without home screen or recents app screen

also if switched from home to an app with slide gesture - there are "redurant animation" as mentioned in #4918

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to home screen
  2. Slightly tap on recents handle with a little upwards motion
  3. See error

Expected behavior

Ignoring that event completely
