The picker looks great in the demo, but when I test locally as an inline component (no fancy mdl dialogues etc) various UI features are absent:

Day of month highlight
Hover animations
Year selector

The demo includes various material css/font references which make it confusing as to which references are essential vs embellishments - could you clarify the minimal requirements (required css etc..) to engage these features?
