Opening app carousel causes unwanted action in launcher

When swiping up, the launcher correctly opens widgets panel. However, with using gesture navigation, open app carousel is achieved by swiping up on the gesture bar, which is also registered by Kvaesito. This means that every time the app carousel is opened, the widgets just slightly show and the background blurs.
I would think the best way to avoid this would be to add the ability to have a small deadzone on the bottom of the screen, voiding the issue encountered.
