About Forking Lens

I have seen a few places online that people discussing about fully forking Lens project. I will shortly explain what the situation is for us.

For starters we need solid binaries of the existing application. This repo answers that request.

What we think about is timing of the fork. Since Lens repo is actively maintained for now and meets community requirements, there is no need for a second repo to maintain source code wise except the build process and update mechanism.

When, not if, Lens repo begins to lack meet those demands and shifts more to Mirantis bias, then it will be forked and separate roadmaps. And that will require a lot of effort, we will need more hands for a lot of things. But for now, again, we must keep this system going.
