These "year 3" tasks were collectively agreed upon by all GREI repositories during the Year 2 retreat (2023/09)

• Y3 GREI 1: Task 1.1 - Conduct a comprehensive internal review of the Generalist Repository Comparison Chart to improve clarity, transparency, and usability #2
• Y3 GREI 1: Task 1.2 - Conduct external/independent review of the draft version 4 comparison chart & update #3

Deliverables

• Y3 GREI 1: Deliverable 1.11 - Create standardized definitions of comparison chart fields, including appropriate clarifications for the community regarding jargon used in criteria #4

Examples of this include clear preservation policies and shared definitions for embargo, managed access, etc. Consider other initiatives to standardize data repository characteristics, such as the RDA Common Descriptive Attributes of Research Data Repositories and the OSTP guidance on Desirable Characteristics Of Data Repositories.

• Y3 GREI 1: Deliverable 1.12 - Create draft version 4 of the comparison chart using the standardized definitions #5
• Y3 GREI 1: Deliverable 1.21 - Publish a final version 4 of the comparison chart based on stakeholder feedback on draft version 4.  #6
