Use thermostat to control a freezer?

Hello,
I have a number of thermostats working great with NRCHKB for heating.
I have been trying to do something similar to control a freezer..
It seems both heater/cooler and thermostat services only go down to +10 degrees Celsius.
Is there any way to tweak this for down to -25 degrees C or so to control a freezer?

Yes, this should be possible. We did a kitchen oven with it a while ago, up to like 200° C

I can't remember where we worked on that but it should be possible. You can use thermostat and characteristic properties - just put your minValue of everything quite low in the range you need.

Something like:

"CoolingThresholdTemperature":{"minValue":-20,""maxValue":100}

Just a message here for clarity to not leave this thread hanging, that I got great help on discord and that this can be done and works well with NRCHKB. As mentioned, the char props can be set for freezing and it can be controlled in HK. I am up and running with a first version and it is very useful, many thanks!

Sure. This is for cooling only but you can add a 1 as valid value if you want to use that too: {"TargetHeatingCoolingState":{"validValues":[0,2]},"CurrentHeatingCoolingState":{"validValues":[0,2]},"TargetTemperature":{"minValue":-30,"maxValue":20}}
