I have searched the issue tracker for open and closed issues that are similar to the feature request I want to file, without success.
I'm on the latest version.
I'm not using a test build (alpha/beta/release-candidate).
This issue contains only one feature request.
Problem Description
I have added additional context here.
When any of the repositories are updated it creates a NEW notification BY DEFAULT for each. Some of them do not update. Either because they do not resolve, or they do not exist anymore or they are simply geolocation blocked. These notifications move constantly up and down the chain and pollute my connected devices (like smartwatch) with notifications.
This should NOT be the default behaviour at all. Even if the notifications are silent or they can be muted on a connected device. Neo-store should not be opening up to MANY SEPARATE notifications for each repository. Plus an additional notification when one repo update fails.
There should be ONE notification to manage the entire repo update. This is how it is for FDroid, Droidify and many other open source stores.
Also when installing Neo-store for the first time and selecting repos quickly the app will continuously crash as it instantly tries to update the repo, which makes another new notification of the progress and then it force closes instantly. So if you select too many repos, too quickly and the notitication window is already full, the app crashes on the latest version.
It does not matter what device I use. My S10 Ultra tab, my Sony Xperia 1V or my Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It's the same experience.
Proposed Solution
Please, ONE notification for ALL repos that are being updated.
NOT ONE EACH
