Search in app often fails and auto directs back to Roku home screen

"Frequently if I search for a video or channel on the Odysee app on Roku, it will show "Loading your search results" for a few seconds and then will pop back to the Roku home screen. The only way I can find out of this is to play a random video and then go back to search and it will usually work (but not always). This is very frustrating. Anyone else have this problem or find a solution?"
