thank you. That helps a lot. But another problem is, one word in English may have different meanings in chinese. It would be better to know the exact context before translating. For example, "mind your step" would translate literally "注意脚步"(becareful When you are walking), but in reality, we do not write like that, Instead, we use two terms: "小心台阶" (becareful When you walk up/down stairs) ,and "谨防摔落" (becareful not to fall off). I have to see the exact sign location to choose a proper translation. |
These textures will be reused at some point, and they will be reused for different purposes, so it's important to stay vague about what they're warning of. |
Frames are related to Portal sentry manufactoring as Ben said. |
Wherever he said that, this is a good example for one more needed comment, to help future translators. |
I added a comment including an texture preview page in the wiki @Deerlord0 you might be interested in this, I saw in the progress report that this and some vgui strings are the only things your translation is missing :) @Blueberryy are the japanese vgui strings something you could help filling up? |
i think it's pretty filled |
Honestly, I couldn't understand most part of vgui strings :3 About singage, They looks not cool if translated. |
If you intentionally want to leave something untranslated, unindenting (instead of leaving it untended) is the translators intended way to go :) |
if possible, please give more info on to which mission does a string belong. so that one can check the visuals eaiser. currently, i have to guess by string's name.
