Player animations' code need to be redone to support potentially easy addition of new animations.

Godot has a complicated animation system. Good luck.

I think a total overhaul is due if we wanna make a comprehensive system. I'm thinking of implementing a sprint system. The character could long jump while sprinting and high jump while normally running. This would also allow us to diversify the levels cramp-iness more freely.

Long jump as in jumping with greater velocity? Or will you also decrease the h_max of the jump?

Should we schedule a time to work on this? This problem should have been fixed long ago.

Sprinting gives you greater velocity, and makes you jump low and long, normal running is slower but allows for higher and shorter jump. And you're right, we should have fixed this looooong ago. Let's make a schedule after this week... we can try to work in short sprints.
