Suggestions in Input component

Hello,
I’m using this component and offer suggestions to the user.
I check onInput method to see if there are at least 3 or 4 characters to create the suggestions.
In a scenario where we start the suggestion process but the user continued to click the extra character makes the first suggestion be selected and the character is set at the end of the suggestion.

See here:

• User had suggestions after clicking ‘Pape’
• Suggestion was selected and ‘r’ that is in the word ‘paper’ that the user continued to click added at the end

Is this a bug? wrong usage?
