In the current game, moving the mouse over any dead body results in the corpse being highlighted. Clicking on it opens their inventory.
It would be a nice quality of life option to have the game automatically ignore corpses with no loot. Mousing over them results in no highlight and you cannot open their loot inventory (since there's no point; you can't place things on their body). This would apply to both corpses of enemies that never had loot and corpses of enemies that did have loot, but you already took it all.
I suspect that this would be an option in the settings, with the default behavior being the original game behavior.
