XCTestLog/XCTestObserver is deprecated #2
Comments
Yea SPYTestLog was originally written for Xcode 5, where XCTestObserver was still viable. As far as I know Apple hasn't introduced a good alternative which can be seen from some of the work here Quick/Quick#233. Hopefully Apple announces a way to hook into this sort of thing with Xcode 7 at WWDC, and if so I'll definitely update it. |
@ScottPetit , OK, thank you! Let's hope for the best :) One day left... |
some news on this? |
I don't really have one as I haven't been using this project in the past year or so. As far as I can tell Xcode 8 even broke XcodeColors (robbiehanson/XcodeColors#88) which SPYTestLog had a dependency on, so if I had to guess this project is for sure broken in Xcode 8. |
Well, the topic says it all. The SPYTestLog works for now, but the
deprecated
warning worries me a bit. May be there is a new alternative?SPYTestLog: 0.0.3
Xcode: 6.3.2 (6D2105)
iOS SDK: iOS 8.3
