Also, when the translation is finished I right-click on each empty line and select "translate only current line": some lines translate right away, some lines never translate! |

For what it's worth, there are times when Gemini will refuse to translate individual sentences if it feels the subject matter is inappropriate. This might be happening in this case even if it did translate it for you on the website. Experiment a bit and see if other sentences where this happen are completely innocuous. |

Well many untranslated lines do contain some slightly inappropriate matters, but those below do not, do they?

I wouldn't think so... if they consistently don't get translated, I suppose it must be something else. Or they could be considered inappropriate in some internal way beyond our comprehension. |

Isn't it wonderful? You pay for a service, translating sentences that are already out there for all to know, and they feel the need to censor. |

I've experienced this too, this should have happened recently, Google Translate will not translate parts of the statement, so parts of the statement are still in the original language, I don't know when it will be fixed |

Hello, I have been using Google Translate v1 on Subtitle Edit for a long time. Recently, it has started skipping some translations, which has never happened before. There are too many skips—sometimes half of the line is translated, while the other half is not. Sometimes I have to click "re-translate this line" several times for it to be translated. I tried installing older versions (4.0.8 and 4.0.7), but the issue persists. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Alternatively, is there a way to use free versions of ChatGPT or Copilot for translation? Or any other method? If necessary, I can provide SRT files for testing. Thank you. |

Hi Instead of Google Translate I have tried MyMemory Translate today. Works good so far. I will check further, if it continues working fine, I will switch to it. |

When using auto-translate via Google Gemini some lines come out blank, but the adiacent lines suggest that Gemini did a good translation.
I am not sure whether Gemini or Subtitle Edit is the one that drops those lines.

The previous translation, just 20 minutes before, had only 3 empty lines in 800, but this one has about 1 in 20.
