[BUG]: Develop branch is behind main #152

What is the bug?
Currently the develop branch is 9 commits behind the main branch which forces contributes to work on the main branch. If this is the intended workflow from now on then I'd like to change the CONTRIBUTING.md file to reflect that change. If not then it would be nice if the develop branch can be made up to date with the latest changes on main :)

Would you prefer doing everything on main from now on? I think this would be easier.

I will delete develop in that case.

I agree that it would be easier. Given the fact that almost every feature addition or bug fix gets published as a new version there isn't really a big difference between the branches most of the time.

I removed develop and updated Contributing.md in 5d21c63
