This project serves as the implementation framework and operational principles for Taiwan's ecosystem classification system. It follows the guidelines of the IUCN Global Ecosystem Typology 2.0 to refine the identification of biotic assemblages and functional ecosystem groups in Taiwan's terrestrial regions. Additionally, it includes the development of a Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) technical manual for the global ecosystem classification system, incorporating terminology commonly used in Taiwan.
此計畫為臺灣生態系分類架構之推動框架與操作原則，依照 IUCN 全球生態系分類系統的規範來更細緻地指認臺灣陸域地區所擁有之生物區系及生態系功能群，並編寫符合臺灣慣用的詞彙及語法之全球生態系正體中文技術手冊。
