Interface overlaps with car infotainment control panel

Steps to reproduce the bug

Just load the application. The car infotainment control panel interface ( left edge ) overlaps with the newpiple application. You can also see there is a < signed overlaps with the menu button. That makes navigation of the user interface impossible.

It seems the app overlays over the car infotainment interface, instead of overshadow, perhaps the menu can be shifted slightly it will avoid the "overlap".

Expected behavior

Can't interact with the menu. Press on it interacts with the control of the device.

Actual behavior

Wonder what is possible. Maybe shfit the start of the display slightly to the right.

Additional information

When an app is run, maybe it can be made to run as a sub-unit, rather than full screen ? Like android auto interface, it can fit nicely under the frame provided by the device ?

But there is no change in the layout, the user interface has been overlapped. You can see from the picture I uploaded, how the side control panel look like.

Note that I am not running this under android auto. It is running under the car infotainment android OS.
