During #6326 development an issue arises with the PathSegs. On jpeg_sky130hs a PathSeg on the _031547_ net. It is created by a NearbyGrid access point on an instance that is mirrored on the X axis. Although in some parts of the code the expected placement of the PathSeg is correct its location on the GUI is wrong, also an connectivity error is raised in this net due to this misplacement.
To help debugging, a separate getBadTransform function was created, that allows for the usage of the old getTransform. This is only used on PathSegs transformation, and passes the aforementioned regression test when used. This is bad, however, as the test should pass using getTransform instead of getBadTransform.
I tracked the problem down to pin2epMap_helper where regionQuery->query(query_box, lNum, result) shows a divergence when using both the getTransform and getBadTransform methods. It seems like the RTree is being created differently on both cases, and I'm not sure why. This is where I'm at.
The jpeg_sky130hs regression test should pass using getTransform in the place of getBadTransform.

Describe the bug
During #6326 development an issue arises with the PathSegs. On jpeg_sky130hs a PathSeg on the
_031547_
net. It is created by a NearbyGrid access point on an instance that is mirrored on the X axis. Although in some parts of the code the expected placement of the PathSeg is correct its location on the GUI is wrong, also an connectivity error is raised in this net due to this misplacement. To help debugging, a separate
getBadTransform
function was created, that allows for the usage of the oldgetTransform
. This is only used on PathSegs transformation, and passes the aforementioned regression test when used. This is bad, however, as the test should pass usinggetTransform
instead ofgetBadTransform
.I tracked the problem down to
pin2epMap_helper
whereregionQuery->query(query_box, lNum, result)
shows a divergence when using both thegetTransform
andgetBadTransform
methods. It seems like the RTree is being created differently on both cases, and I'm not sure why. This is where I'm at.The code mentioned can be found at a separate branch.
Expected Behavior
The jpeg_sky130hs regression test should pass using
getTransform
in the place ofgetBadTransform
.Environment
To Reproduce
Run jpeg_sky130hs on this branch.
