New version of Horizon Client came out...

Omnissa-Horizon-Client-2412-8.14.0-12437214089.x64.rpm

New version has the full rebrand, even folder structure. Not sure if the app will even start.

Yeah, it's different. Not much, but enough to be annoying.

I would remove the "horizon" package that I've made from the stable branch. Every time I try to add the package to a build, I get a Kernel Panic on boot. Totally different beast than the previous version.
I've spent the whole day on this, and will continue tomorrow starting with a fresh package.

Meh, I dunno how many people are using it right now. It's not the default, as I'm kind of soft opening on this one. Still I think I made some progress for you.

Finally got it going. No more Kernel Panic

Two things

  1. missing "openssl" in the dependencies file.
  2. in etc/systemd/system/horizon-init.service, there's a typo in the "Before" section. It should say horizon-USBArbitrator.service

Well, we also need to figure out those ft services, they don't seem to exist anymore. I don't have an environment where I can do the testing for this. Please do what you can.

On my test Fedora setup, the 2 FT services exists...

  1. /etc/init.d/ftscanhv is softlinked to /usr/lib/omnissa/horizon/scannerRedirection/ftscanhv.redhat
  2. /etc/init.d/ftsprhv is softlinked to /usr/lib/omnissa/horizon/serialPortRedirection/ftsprhv.redhat

Looking a bit more on this...
