I just lost >$250 using UnstoppableSwap.

It fails to start the Monero wallet rpc process.

"Failed to initialize context","error":"Failed to start monero-wallet-rpc process\n\nCaused by:\n 0: Failed to send request to get_info endpoint\n 1: error sending request ... etc etc"

I am not the only one experiencing this problem (see Discord group).

My Transaction ID was: ca04a583bbdf9ab89805e96b33807dd00e148f5692b188074a624e6231c21a0d

As shown below, showing the BTC went out, but nothing came back:

Care to reimburse me?

I should add that it may not be a lot of money to other people, but it is to me.

Ok, first: Your funds aren't lost. The GUI isn't able to start because it cannot connect to the default Monero node. To fix this you'll need to change the used Moner node in the settings to a different one. We'll push out a update soon to fix this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  1. Start the GUI. Go to the Help page and scroll down to the settings.

  1. Click on the icon next to "Custom Monero Node URL" and add a Monero node. For example: http://nodes.hashvault.pro:18081. You can also choose a different one from https://monero.fail/. Make sure to choose one with http support and not https. Once you're done click on the plus icon and restart the GUI.

  1. Resume the swap. If you're still having issues: Feel free to comment in here again.

A fix for the issue has been implemented with #251 and will be released within a day or two.
