Regenerate playlist without refreshing the scene

Hi! I appreciate the effort you put in this script, the built-in VLC Source shuffle doesn't really work properly for me.
I would like to ask you if something can be modified in the code to have the following behaviour:

1. generate the playlist
2. play it
3. when the last video is done playing, generate a new playlist

Also, I wonder if it's possible to increase the videos played between transitions (for example, a transition would have to play every two videos and not one).
