Do you have pkgfile installed?

I have suggestion for this issue - do not display 'Search' -> 'By file' menu item (or disable it) if 'pkgfile' package is not installed. Same as when there is no AUR functionality if no AUR tool is installed.

@demmm - i installed 'pkgfile' and initialized database with 'pkgfile --update' - it didn't help

Looks like Octopi uses 'pacman -Fs' for file search - 'pkgfile' isn't needed for 'Search' -> 'By file' functionality (file search is working in Chakra with 'pkgfile' not installed (but there is no 'pkgfile' in repos too) and file search also works in KaOS Linux with 'pkgfile' installed). I think 'pkgfile' is optional.

Is it possible to search files by partial (not exact) names? - same as in search by name and description right now.

Also i suggest to reveal first found file in 'Files' tab - same as on right click on installed package -> 'Find file' functionality.
