Regarding location of output folder

Hi,
I am trying to run Nextflow SCENIC VSN pipeline from a couple of days now (http://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/aertslab/SCENIC/blob/master/Tutorials_JupyterNotebooks/SCENIC_tutorial_1-RunningVSN.html).
I am struggling a lot with location of the output folder when every time the process completes thoroughly and successfully.
If I leave the default location and name for output, sometimes I see the “out” and “work” location either in home directory or the working directory but most of the times I fail to find it anywhere at all.
If I change the name and use a specific location for “outdir” and “scenicoutdir” then the folders are created in the specified location but they are all empty.
I tried substituting all other “out” paths as well but nothing seems to work.
Could anyone please help me fix this ?
I use the following command with the attached config file for one of the samples
nextflow -C /rds/general/user/hdhiman/home/scRNAseq/grn/scripts/traditiom.vsn-pipelines.complete.config run vib-singlecell-nf/vsn-pipelines -entry single_sample -r v0.25.0
