Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I'm new to using planify and wanted to add a kanban board project, however i couldn't find an option to do so for a bit.
I had actually considered opening an issue requesting this feature, but had noticed in the issues that it had already been implemented.
I kept looking in the skewer menu, i looked at "edit project", i looked in the entire app's settings, and even got so desperate as to start looking at the commit history to make sure i was using a version that had support for board view (not my brightest moment). That is to say, its location was not at all intuitive or obvious to me.
The last place i ended up checking was the sort menu. i'm quite happy that it does exist, but this is apparently the last place my brain expected it to be. I suppose my brain expects that menu to be dedicated only to sorting information, and not as a more general "view and formatting" menu. I'm opening a request since i feel as though others may run into this issue as well, though maybe for less time and with less confusion than i had, lol.
tl;dr: i couldn't find the kanban/board view for a project, the sorting menu was the last place i had checked.

Describe the solution you'd like

  • i'd personally suggest moving/copyinh the board view over to the project's skewer menu. To my brain, switching to board mode feels like changing the type of project that it is, rather than simply changing the view mode of the project (though i suppose that is what it is).
  • Alternatively, i would suggest changing the icon for the view menu, since it contains more than just sorting, which is what my brain had read the menu as being dedicated to based on its icon.
