I also have this issue. CPU: GPU: GPU Driver Version: Installation OS Name and Version (winver on Windows or grep PRETTY_NAME /etc/os-release on most Linux distributions): |
For both of you, can you please provide a screenshot or copy-paste of your steamvr launch options? |
I have the same issue, my setup is mostly a combination of the other two: OS: Windows 11 Home, version 23H2 The launch options listed in the Linux Troubleshooting page are specifically for Linux, right? The equivalent file is located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\bin\win64\vrmonitor.exe" on my PC. I'll edit this post if making that change fixed the screen. |
Update: I attempted to include the SteamVR launch option ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\bin\win64\vrmonitor.exe" %command%". This allowed me to boot into the mountains screen, but the screen went back to glitching out after I attempted to boot VRChat. |
@Astralneko Those launch options are about a definitively linux-only problem, I have no clue what they're doing on windows. |
Hi, same problem for me. I have already done the fix on "Linux Troubleshouting". The launch option of SteamVR: Using these launch options, I have a view of the SteamVR grid, but the image doesn't refresh and when I turn my head I only have black background around the frozen SteamVR environment image. And the image is heavily faded with a white tint. PS: I have first gen Quest |
@daxime Do alvr's logs say anything? |
@The-personified-devil I'm not sure why, i have changed nothing and now it work. Just the sound that is not streamed to the headset and come from the speaker of my PC. |
Same issue did all the Troubleshooting tipps no help. Linux VR is just dead |
Tbh that sounds like Valve managed to break SteamVR even harder on Linux than it already is. |
