HTMLview doesn't work with MUI4 on OS3 #1
Comments
Is this project still alive? I would also like to see this fixed if possible. :) |
Well, this project is as active is it has developers. Thore and me are unfortunately busy with other stuff currently. So if you want to see faster/further progress please join as a developer and submit your changes or bring some developers to work on htmlview.mcc. |
My c/c++ is a little rusty, but I will gladly take a look and see if I can help somewhere. |
Hm, the readme mentions that developers should register in SourceForge: Is that still the case, or it it outdated information? |
of course this is outdated, you are on GitHub here. So get familiar with Github and especially using "git"! |
@jens-maus after only a few years, I'm coming back to this :) What's the recommended way to get this to compile? Older GCC directly under AmigaOS? Any other option? |
You might want to get in touch with Edgar Schwan because he has already done some work on this. Some time ago he sent me an OS4 build of HTMLview.mcc that worked with MUI 5.
|
If this is really the case, then where is the Pull Request to integrate his changes so that he conforms to the LGPL license? |
When I last talked to him about it in December 2021 he said he couldn't create a pull request because his fixes weren't compatible with the sources on github, whatever that may mean.

@afalkenhahn
I'm attaching the sources here as well. Unfortunately however, these also don't compile for OS3 for me, at least when using the GCC mentioned above. |

On OS3 HTMLview doesn't work correctly with MUI4. There is a blue-checkered pattern all over the gadgets contents making everything unreadable. See screenshot. There should be a HTML page in the area that is blue-checkered but only two images reading "NEW" from that page are actually visible.
It works correctly with MUI 3.8. I haven't checked OS4 and MorphOS yet.
