I have some questions regarding Transport Options. For reference, my use case is the "left path" (box info up front).
Specific questions:
-- Q#1A: If we choose "UNITED PARCEL SERVICE" Ground Small Parcel -- are we "locked" into that carrier? What if later in Seller Central we supply FedEx Ground tracking numbers? I guess what I'm asking, does Amazon lock in the specific carrier we chose in the list?
-- Q#1B: Similar question but what if we choose freight carrier A and then need to switch to B?
-- Q#1C: If we do need to change carriers, does the system allow us to select or "change" carriers after we confirmed one? If so, what are the guidelines and what call do we make to change a carrier?
-- Q#1D: Same with the delivery window -- what if we choose one delivery window but need to update it?
This is important as we need to know how far into the process we are so we can perform other functions in our system (such as inventory management once a shipment is completed) and knowing if a transport option was selected helps us have confidence that the shipping coordinator fully completed the shipment.
If the answer is that we need to poll Amazon for each shipment individually, I would request that this data be moved into the getShipment process to avoid extra overhead as it already takes a long time to pull data.
