Control mesh numbering

Is there a command to control how structures are meshed? For example, begin meshing from surface with an X of #, then mesh other surfaces? How does pyMAPDL choose what element 1 is and where to start meshing?

A1 At the start of the geometry. A line with 2 keypoints has a starting and ending keypoint. If you list the line the keypoints are listed in order. Areas in a simular manner. And too with volumes.

A2 As far as I know, and assuming you mean the numbering pattern no. Can I ask why you would want to control this?

For A2. I'd want to control this to make sure that numbering patterns remain constant throughout a structure, despite any volume removals (so start from a certain keypoint for all, then go from there). It's to make things easier for me research wise down the line, which is why I thought I'd ask.
