Click and Jog function not working anymore.

Hello

I just built a new laser engraver reusing my old diy laser parts and controller boards(UNO AND CNC SHIELD). I'm having a problem which I can't figure out. When I click on a spot on the image to be engraved, the laser moves back and right until it hits the x endstop and must be reset. I was expecting it to go to the portion of the image as it had done previously. Heres my setup;

Home to back right (location is -5,-5 after homing)

Manual move with console to where I want to start

press the globe icon to set 0,0

frame button works fine, engraving works fine

however, when trying to locate various points on the image by clicking on mouse at those spots,the laser moves right and rear until it hits endstops.

What settings or procedures have I forgotten and am now doing wrong?
