-
You should know how to build.
-
Scaffold the necessary Maven modules using `camel-connector-maven-plugin.
As an example let’s add a new conenctor for supporting an imaginary social platform named foo
:
./mvnw camel-connector:create-connector \
-N \
-Dconnector.group=social \
-Dconnector.type=foo \
-Dconnector.version=0.1
where:
-
social
is the group/category the connector belongs to -
0.1
is the schema version of the connector.
Note
|
The connectors' schema MUST be backward compatible hence, if a breaking change is required, a new connector must be generated with a new version. |
The above sequence of commands does the following:
-
it creates/amends four new Maven modules
-
cos-fleetshard-connector/social
-
cos-fleetshard-connector/social/foo-0.1
-
cos-fleetshard-connector-it/foo-it
-
cos-fleetshard-connector-it/social/foo-it
-
-
it creates a basic connector configuration in the
cos-fleetshard-connector/social/foo-0.1/pom.xml
with:-
a source connector definition which users a
cos-foo-source
-
a sink connector definition which users a
cos-foo-sink
NoteAt this stage, the plugin does not check for the existence of the kamelets so the generated modules should be reviewed and amended as needed.
-
-
it creates a basic integration test in the
cos-fleetshard-connector-it/social/foo-it
module to ensure the generated container image starts.
Tip
|
It is possible to configure the mojo to create only the source or sink connector by providing additional maven properties:
